BSCAA is pleased to present Mark Diamond, Workplace Advisory Group who will discuss what the proposed Industrial Relations changes mean for businesses.

restrictions on the use of rolling fixed-term contracts, which includes prohibiting fixed-term contracts for periods more than two years.
changes to flexible working arrangements, the threat of forced conciliation and potentially arbitration if employers refuse a request by an employee for more flexible work arrangements.
The new Fair Work Act including prohibiting pay secrecy
Multi-employer bargaining provisions which are currently worded in a way that businesses and their employees may be forced to operate and bargain under the same conditions as an unrelated business interstate that is dictating the terms of the agreement and sunsetting zombie agreements.
Effects on job security and gender equity with the Fair Work update, in particular, requirements surrounding fair wages and equal remuneration for work of equal value.
